Congresswoman Jackie Walorski paid a visit to Elkhart after a foster care bill passed this week.

The Republican visited The Villages of Indiana Wednesday. The Villages is Indiana’s largest not-for-profit child and family services agency, and Walorski says she wanted to hear from the people most affected by her bill.

“We are just here today at Villages, hearing from some of these foster parents that are involved in this process here, that know what it’s like to adopt and know what it’s like to foster and adopt as well. And to ask what’s next? What else can we do?”

Walorski’s bill allows places like The Villages to make it easier to place kids in foster care by implementing an electronic system to help reduce interstate adoption delays and costs.
