What began as a domestic situation turned into a police chase and a crash in South Bend Wednesday night.

It began on Miami Street around 10 p.m. and led to the people involved driving away from the police, who gave chase.

The suspect vehicle crashed not far from a playground near the intersection of Dale and Dayton a short time later, with one person attempting to flee on foot. One person was arrested.

It’s unclear how many people were in the vehicle at the time of the chase and crash.
