Ligonier bicyclist rushed to hospital after hit-and-run in LaGrange County

A bicyclist from Ligonier was flown to a hospital Friday morning after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in LaGrange County.

Police say it happened just after 5 a.m. on County Road 800 South, near C.R. 4750 West.

The 24 year-old rider was taken to Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne and there’s no word on his condition. The driver that struck the rider drove off before police arrived on the scene.

No vehicle description is available, but it would have front end and undercarriage damage.
