Two detained after shots fired at Benton Harbor-area hotel

Berrien County Police say two people are in custody after reports of shots fired Friday morning.

It happened just after 6:30 a.m. in the area of M-139 and I-94, at the Cosmo Extended Stay.

Police say two people were detained at Berrien County Jail and two handguns were recovered. A sweep of the hotel didn’t reveal anyone that was hurt.

Officers continue to investigate.
