Two hurt in South Bend shooting early Sunday morning

South Bend police are investigating a shooting that left two people injured.

It happened at about 12:50 a.m. Sunday on West Colfax Avenue near LaPorte Avenue. Police say they found a man and a woman in a van with gunshot wounds just down the road near the LaPorte/LaSalle intersection.

The 16-year-old man and 39-year-old woman are in stable condition and are recovering at a local hospital.
