Nearly two dozen geese found run over and killed in South Bend

Nearly two dozen geese were apparently run over and killed.

The discovery was made around 10:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 21, in the 1400 block of East Northside Blvd.

On arrival, police found approximately 20 geese dead.

The street department was called to collect the birds.

South Bend Animal Control was contacted and is leading any investigation.

So far, no word of any possible witnesses or suspects.

Hubris comes before the fall…these Canadian Pigeons refuse to get out of the way of large moving things. It’s amazing they’ve survived this long being willing recipients of the Darwin Award.
