A South Bend man is going to prison for dealing meth.

21-year-old Brian Cardona was sentenced to 6.5 years in prison for dealing over 50 grams of methamphetamine, followed by four years of supervised release.

Federal court documents say that Cardona and Anthony Francis sold meth to an undercover officer and discussed potential future sales with the officer. Francis will be sentenced on September 27.

Both Cardona and Francis are also involved in a more severe case out of West Virginia where shots were fired at a police vehicle.

Francis was the alleged triggerman and is charged with attempted murder, among other charges. Cardona is facing a fleeing charge in that case, along with another West Virginia man.
