One man is dead after another shooting in South Bend.

Police say it happened at about 9:30 a.m. Saturday near Portage and Lathrop. Two vehicles crashed and a “fight or altercation” ensued before the shooting, according to ABC 57.

A black man in dark clothing is believed to have ran east after the shooting. A K9 led officers to Pinhook Park and officers searched by water. Eventually, a suspect was found in the 2100 block of Beverly Place and is being questioned.
