The area still impacted by power outages stretches from Marion Street, south to the river, according to Mishawaka Utilities. Still no estimate of how long the remaining issues will be resolved.

Mishawaka Utilities say much of the power has been restored, and they continue to work on some pockets of the city that remain dark.

A large power outage is affecting Mishawaka Tuesday morning after a large tree took out wires at Benton and Grove Streets.

That, in turn, caused a number of transformers to blow and kill the power to several parts of the city. The outages began around 1:30 in the morning and span from River, Logan, McKinley and Main.

Mishawaka utilities crews are working on the situation.
