South Bend teen hospitalized after shooting on northwest side

A teenager was shot in South Bend Thursday afternoon.

South Bend Police were called to a home on West Prast near North Olive at about 12:30 p.m. Thursday. A 16-year-old boy had wounds to both of his legs. He was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The teen told police he heard gunfire, then felt pain from his injuries. Suspect information at this point is vague.
