NorthWood adds RV vocational training as part of curriculum

An Elkhart County high school is ready to train the next generation of RV workers.

NorthWood High School is adding vocational training for high school students that may want to work in the recreational vehicle industry.

The new RV Construction graduation pathway is being made possible in part by a partnership with Thor Industries. The program was approved this week by the Indiana State Board of Education.

Wa-Nee Community Schools superintendent Scot Croner tells the South Bend Tribune that not only will students be familiarized with the tools and skills necessary to make RVs, it also will give students “preferential interviewing” with Thor Industries.
