An offender with Elkhart County Community Corrections died after being taken to Goshen General Hospital.

It was back on July 31 when an ambulance was called to the facility for for a medical emergency.

The offender was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead a short time later.

So far, there is no word on the cause of death.
