Several pet cats died in a mobile home fire in Mishawaka.

Crews were called to the 1600 block of Southwood Drive at Village Green Estates around 10:15 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 14.

The person who lived in the mobile home was able to get out safely.

The Humane Society was called to take care of the animals who survived the blaze.
