Police investigate shots fired in South Bend’s River Park neighborhood

Nearly a dozen gunshots were fired as occupants inside two vehicles took aim on the other in South Bend.

Officers with the South Bend Police Department were called on Tuesday, Aug. 21, to the 700 block of S. 23rd Street in the River Park neighborhood, according to WNDU.

Shell casings were found in an alley, WNDU reported.

There was no report of any injuries, but a garage was damaged, WNDU reported.
