Elkhart Police are investigating a shooting.
It happened just after 11 a.m. on Friday in the 1400 block of Hudson Street. The victim suffered a non-life-threatening injury to the leg.
The Bridge Street bridge was blocked by police during the investigation.
Despite the large police presence on scene, officers described the shooting as an isolated incident and said people living and working in the area should not be alarmed.
There was no immediate word of any arrests.
