Elkhart County Police searching after pedestrian was struck by hit-and-run driver

Elkhart County Sheriff’s deputies are looking for the vehicle involved in a hit and run collision that seriously hurt a 26 year-old man.

The collision happened around 11:20 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 28, on County Road 4 east of County Road 13.

The pedestrian was struck by an unidentified vehicle which was traveling eastbound on County Road 4, according to the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department.

Evidence collected from the scene suggests the vehicle in question will have damage to the driver’s side mirror.

Investigators are asking that if anybody with has information concerning the crash, the driver or the vehicle contact the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department at 574-533-4151.
