South Bend, Cass County police investigating injury crashes

Seven people were hurt in a three-vehicle crash in Cass County.

It happened around 5 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 30, on U.S. 12 near Beebe Road, which is west of Edwardsburg.

One person was trapped in the wreckage. One of the victims had to be airlifted to the hospital.

In a separate crash, four people, including two children, were hurt in a near head-on crash in the Keller Park neighborhood in South Bend.

It happened around 10:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 30.

Investigators say the collision involved a minivan and a sedan.

There is no word on the victims’ conditions in both crashes, which remain under investigation.
