FAA investigating reports of a “near miss” related to Notre Dame flyover

The Federal Aviation Administration is looking into reports of a near miss at the South Bend International Airport related to the Sep. 1 flyover at the Notre Dame game, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at ABC 57.

A spokesperson with the FAA confirmed a Cessna was about to land at South Bend at the same time as the flyover, ABC 57 reports.

The agency is trying to determine if any separation standards were violated.
