Almost 110,000 Boy Scouts neckerchief slides are being recalled due to unsafe amounts of lead.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission reports the colored enamel on the neckerchief slides contains levels of lead that exceed the federal lead content ban.

Lead is toxic if consumed by young children and can cause adverse health issues.

The brass neckerchief slides were sold in four styles: red wolf, green bear, orange lion and blue Webelos.

The words “Made in China” and P.O. numbers 200228276, 20023175, 200233281 or 200236630 are printed on the white label attached to the back.

The slides were sold exclusively at Boy Scouts of America retail stores and authorized distributors nationwide, as well as online at scoutshop.org from February 2018 through August 2018. Each slide was sold for about $6.

If you own a recalled neckerchief slide, keep it out of reach of children and return it to any Boy Scouts of America retail store or distributor for a free replacement.
