Man in Goshen killed after vehicle hits rock wall, power pole

A man in Goshen died after he struck a rock wall and a NIPSCO power pole.

The collision happened just before 9 p.m. on Saturday, Sep. 29, in the 800 block of Wilden Avenue.

Lorenzo Ramirez, lost control of his vehicle, left the road and hit the rock wall and pole, which caused his vehicle to flip, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at ABC 57.

Ramirez was trapped in the vehicle and fire personnel used heavy extrication to free him, ABC 57 reported.

Emergency crews administered CPR, but Ramirez died.

The investigation into the cause of the crash is still underway.
