A bicyclist was taken to the hospital with injuries after he was struck by a vehicle in South Bend.

The collision happened around 3:20 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 3. Officers found the bicyclist in the 800 block of Colfax. He was last listed in stable condition.

The suspect driver, Daniel Hermosillo, 38, was located a while later after police say he crashed into a pole in the 700 block of West Oak Street.

He was taken to the hospital for evaluation and then booked into the St. Joseph County Jail.
