Elkhart Co. Police asking for help identifying armed robbery suspect

Elkhart County Sheriff’s investigators have released surveillance video of an masked man with a gun robbing a Marathon gas station.

They’re hoping residents will watch the video and help identify the suspect.

The robbery just after 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Sep. 25, at the station in the 22000 block of State Road 120.

The video shows the suspect walk in, flash a gun and take money from the cash register, then leave.

The suspect was described as a light-skinned black male in his twenties, about 6’2″ tall, wearing a ball cap and a hooded sweatshirt.

She stayed calm, complied, then immediately called 911. Glad she’s okay. I probably would have locked the doors while making that call.
