This American Stroke Month, medical professionals are urging you to take the steps needed to keep yourself safe.
One tip the American Stroke Association has is to remember the acronym F.A.S.T. – Face Drooping, Arm Weakness, Speech Difficulty, Time to Call 9-1-1 – which lists some of the signs of a stroke and recommends the best course of action.
You are also encouraged to know your blood pressure and keep it in a healthy range, as well as discuss stroke risk factors and prevention strategies with your doctor.
