Man delivering prescription drugs robbed in Benton Township

A man delivering prescription medications to the Walgreens on Napier Avenue in Benton Township was beaten and robbed.

The robbery happened around 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 11 near the store in the 800 block of Napier Avenue.

The victim told police he was getting ready to take the medication into the store when two men with baseball bats approached him and began hitting him in the head and legs, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at ABC 57.

The men took prescription drugs from the victim and left in a green Toyota SUV, ABC 57 reported.

The suspects were described as wearing dark clothing and white bandanas.
