Two people arrested on suspicion of robberies on both sides of state line

Two robberies on both sides of the Indiana-Michigan border have landed two suspected “State Line Bandits” behind bars.

Niles police arrested a 33 year-old woman and a 30 year-old man suspected of robbing the Pete’s Marathon on South 11th Street, just minutes after a robbery at the Admiral Gas Station on 933 and Darden.

The two are being investigated for other possible robberies.

They’re believed to be from Elkhart and are being held in the Berrien County Jail, but could be extradited to Indiana to face other charges.
