ArcelorMittal reaches agreement with United Steelworkers

ArcelorMittal has reached a tentative deal with United Steelworkers on a new four-year contract.

Northwest Indiana Business reports that the labor contract covers 12 thousand union employees at 11 of ArcelorMittal’s operations, including those in Indiana and Illinois.

The tentative agreement replaces the existing contract that expired on Sept. 1st and is still subject to ratification by the union, which is expected in the next 30 days.
