Lake effect snow to move through Michiana Monday night and Tuesday

Light snow showers will move into Michiana during the second half of Monday, Nov. 12.

Accumulations of less than an inch of snowfall is expected, but a round of lake effect snow will start on Monday night, lasting through Tuesday.

Accumulations of 1-3″ is possible for the northwest part of Michiana, including Berrien, Cass and St. Joseph Counties.

Roads could be slick in spots on Tuesday morning, so drivers are advised to plan extra travel time.

A couple flurries could last into early Wednesday morning but clouds will finally break up.

Another chance of snow returns Thursday with more lake effect Saturday.

The ABC 57 First Warning Neighborhood Weather Center Forecast:

Monday: Increasing clouds with light snow showers mainly this evening. High of 38.

Monday Night: Scattered light snow showers. Low of 25.

Tuesday: Lake effect snow showers. High of 31.

Wednesday: AM flurries, partly cloudy. High of 36.
