A suspect went to great lengths to hide from deputies in Van Buren County, but it didn’t work out.

On Saturday night, Nov. 24, deputies learned that two wanted parole fugitives were in a house on 56th Street in Lawrence.

Three men, ages 34 to 40, were taken into custody on various warrants and violations.

A fourth man was discovered after a trap door was found under a sofa and a carpet.

Officials say Bobby Bryan Tillery was found hiding in the space under the house and arrested on a drug warrant.
