Shots fired into a home on Lawndale Avenue in Niles Township

Gunshots were fired into a home in Niles Township and, luckily, nobody inside the home was struck or injured.

The shooting happened just before 3 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 6, in the 1100 block of Lawndale Avenue.

The home was struck several times by somebody firing from a passing vehicle.

As of 9 a.m. on Thursday, there was no word of any arrests.

The Berrien County Sheriff’s Department is asking for help from the public. Anybody with information is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office Detective’s Bureau at (269) 983-7141, ext. 7224.
