Police believe they have arrested the suspect involved in two bank hold-ups that took place on Thursday, Dec. 12, in South Bend.

The first bank hit was the Communitywide Federal Credit Union in the 1500 block of West Western Avenue, though officers say no money was taken.

The second hold-up took place less than a mile away at the Flagstar Bank branch in the 2300 block of West Western.

The suspect got away at first with an undisclosed amount of money and left the scene in a silver sedan, but the person believed to have committed the crimes was apprehended on Thursday afternoon.
