Two people died and a third person was badly injured after a crash at W. Western Avenue and Harris Street in South Bend.
The collision happened around 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 23, when the driver of a car traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed lost control and struck two parked cars, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at ABC 57.
Two passengers in the vehicle that hit parked cars died.They were identified as Mauricio Angulo Dominguez, 23, and Marco Angulo Dominguez, 29.
The driver was rushed to the hospital with a head injury and was last listed in critical condition.
Speed and intoxication are believed to be factors, investigators said. Alcohol containers were found in the vehicle and driver’s blood alcohol level is being tested, ABC 57 reported.
