One person was killed and another person was injured in a crash in South Bend.
Officers with the St. Joseph County FACT Team were called around 2 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 3, to Country Club Road near the curve where Country Club turns into Fillmore Road.
The person who died was identified as Daniel Gonzales, 41, of South Bend. The person who was hurt was his sister, who investigators say was thrown from the vehicle.
She was taken to Memorial Hospital after walking to a nearby home to find help.
The car was on fire when officials arrived.
Police are still investigating factors that led to the crash.
