Reports: ND’s Brian Kelly being courted by Tampa Bay Bucs

Six seasons after a flirtation with the Philadelphia Eagles, Notre Dame’s Head Coach is said to be a leading candidate for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coaching job.

The Bucs fired coach Dirk Koetter after he won just 19 games in three seasons. Tampa Bay could be looking to spend as much as $10 million per season on their next coach, compared to the $2.1 million Kelly earns at Notre Dame, though he earns more through outside income.

His current deal with the University is through 2021.

Kelly has a record of 81-35 through nine seasons with the Irish.

Eight NFL teams are looking for a new head coach during the off-season.
