The three people found dead in an apparent murder-suicide in Michigan City have been identified.

Police were called to the home in the 6800 block of Meer Road on Monday afternoon where they found the bodies of Barbara Evans, 71, Walter Evans, 73, and their daughter, Tammy Evans, 48.

According to police, Tammy Evans shot and killed her parents, then, days later, took her own life.

The gun and a hand-written note were found with Tammy in a separate part of the home.
