Fire at the Maennerchor Club near LaSalle Avenue in Downtown South Bend tied up traffic on Thursday afternoon, Jan. 10.
Firefighters were called to the scene shortly after 1 p.m. to fight the flames in the industrial building, which they say was unoccupied at the time.
Crews were still working on the fire an hour later, and South Bend Police had surrounding streets blocked off during the effort.
Power went out for about 2,500 nearby homes and businesses.
There was no immediate word on the cause of the blaze.
