19-year-old man shot on E. Haney Ave. in South Bend

South Bend Police are investigating a shooting that happened just after 12 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 12, in the 1200 block of E. Haney Avenue.

Officers patrolling the area heard gunshots and then received a call for a 19-year-old man with an apparent non-life-threatening wound to the arm.

The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Officers learned there was a verbal argument before the shooting.

This case remains under investigation by the South Bend Police Investigative Bureau.
