More dog food brands have been added to the recall list for elevated levels of Vitamin D.

Last month, Sunshine Mills, Inc. recalled select products of Evolve Puppy, Sportsman’s Pride Large Breed Puppy and Triumph Chicken and Rice Dog Food.

Nutrisca and Natural Life Pet Products were recalled in November of 2018 for the same issue.

Now, more brands have been added to the list as the situation continues to develop.

The FDA reports excess Vitamin D can cause vomiting, loss of appetite, increased thirst, increased urination, excessive drooling and weight loss. Vitamin D at toxic levels can cause kidney failure, and even death.
