Ricky Johnson, who the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office was actively searching for, was said to be at a residence in the Milford Junction.

The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office requested assistance from the Warsaw Police Department, the Indiana State Police and the Milford Police Department.

Sheriff Kyle Dukes made the decision to activate the Kosciusko County SWAT team, who found several people inside the residence.

All the occupants inside the first floor of the dwelling were handcuffed and placed into police cars.

It was determined that there were two people hiding in an attic located above the second floor of the residence. Kosciusko County K-9 Deputy Lou Mediano deployed his K-9 partner, Neville, into the attic, after several unsuccessful verbal commands for the subjects to come out of hiding.

The K-9 located two individuals hiding in the attic, later identified as Ricky Johnson and Crissy Howard. Both individuals had numerous warrants for their arrest and were taken into custody and transported to Kosciusko County Hospital for dog bite wounds.

Sheriff Dukes says he’s proud of the efficiency and professionalism of the SWAT team.

“A brave group of men that put their lives on the line every time they perform their duties,” he calls them. “We could not have completed our mission without the cooperation among the law enforcement agencies involved.”

The following subjects were taken into custody:

Ricky Johnson, 38, Milford- Resisting Law Enforcement, and active warrants for Battery, Theft and Failure to Appear (3)

Brandy Howard, 37, Lackey, Kentucky- Resisting Law Enforcement and an active warrant for Battery by Bodily Waste
