Committee being formed to decide fate of Christopher Columbus murals at Notre Dame

A committee is being formed to determine the fate of the Christopher Columbus murals at The University of Notre Dame.

University President The Rev. John Jenkins is forming a panel of 13 university staff and students to advise on the display, according to the South Bend Tribune.

Last month, the university announced that it would be covering the paintings, which line the corridors of the Main Building of the campus.

The committee will look at where high-resolution images of the murals should be put up on the campus, the South Bend Tribune reported.
