Chicago man charged in connection with 2017 death outside Bar Louie at U.P. Mall

The St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office has charged a Chicago man with murder and a firearm sentencing enhancement in connection with the death of Benito Bueno.

Bueno died after being shot outside of Bar Louie at University Park Mall in Mishawaka back in June, 2017. The shooting stemmed from a fight that began in the bar, then spilled out onto the parking lot.

Probable cause was found and an arrest warrant ordered issued for Oscar
Orozco, 40, who was arrested on Saturday, Feb. 16,  in Chicago.

Orozco was taken into custody without incident by the Chicago Police Department and remains in custody at the Cook County Jail.
