The Bethany Christian School community is mourning the loss of a senior who died in a crash in Kosciusko County.

The collision happened around 5 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 23.

KeShawn Smith, 18, crossed the center line in the 8400 block of N. State Road 15 and struck an SUV head-on, according to authorities.

Smith died at the scene. The occupants of the SUV did not suffer any serious injuries that were reported.

Smith was a member of the school’s soccer and basketball teams.
