A woman from Silver Lake has been charged with a scanning scam at the Walmart in Warsaw.

The Times-Union says 27-year-old Shelby Lynne Learned is accused of stealing more than 400 dollars’ worth of merchandise over several months from the Walmart.

Court documents show she and a man were scanning bar codes from cheaper items for the bigger-ticket items, and in some cases were not paying for some things at all.

The man on surveillance video seen with Learned has not been charged so far.
