South Haven man killed after driving into tree in Van Buren County

A South Haven man died after a crash in Van Buren County’s Geneva Township.

It happened around 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 6, on County Road 687, just north of 8th Avenue, according to police.

The driver was headed south when he lost control and struck a tree, sheriff’s deputies said.

He was not wearing a seat belt and was transported to Bronson Methodist in Kalamazoo, where he was pronounced dead.
