Sturgis man convicted in stabbing of Vandalia man

A Sturgis man has been convicted of two assault felonies in the stabbing of a Vandalia man.

Michael Johnson, 45, was found guilty in the attack of a 51 year-old victim, who was the other man in a love triangle that also involved the victim’s step-daughter.

The victim also fathered her child.

Johnson faces up to 28 years in prison when he’s sentenced on April 5th.

Witnesses reported the stepdaughter recently had a child with the victim who was stabbed.

He was found not guilty of a third charge.
