Car crashes into house on South Bend’s west side

A police chase early Monday morning ended with a car crashing into a house on South Bend’s West Side.

Police say it began near the intersection of Walnut and Washington, and officers chased the suspect vehicle for several blocks until moments before it crashed into the house next to the Tienda Rosa on Walnut.

The driver was transported to the hospital and there’s no word on his condition. No one was injured in the home that was struck by his car.
