The trial has been set for the second person charged in the 1988 murder of Miriam Rice.

56 year old Barbara Brewster appeared in court Tuesday morning and will face trial on June 10th.

The other person charged, 76 year-old George Kearney, pleaded guilty to murder Monday morning.

Like Kearney, Brewster was charged last July in the 1988 death of 28-year-old Miriam Rice. She was scheduled to go to trial next week, but a judge has accepted a motion to continue and Brewster’s trial was rescheduled for June.

Kearney will be sentenced on March 29th.
