Man convicted in federal court of being a felon in possession of a firearm

A South Bend man has been convicted in U.S. District Court of being a felon in possession of a firearm.

According to court documents, Joshua Banks, 31, was in posession of a revolver when he was spotted near a vehicle that had been reported stolen.

He was walking with a gas can.

Banks sentencing has been set for June 12.
