Police chase across state line ends with shots fired

There were no injuries reported after a police chase crossed the state line and ended with an officer discharging his weapon.

It began as an attempted traffic stop near County Road 131 and State Road 120 in Bristol shortly after 2:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 14.

A chase ensued that ended in the 16000 block of East Lake Drive in White Pigeon.

A suspect was taken into custody.

The St. Joseph County Michigan Sheriff’s Department is investigating the circumstances that led to the shots being fired.
