The South Bend Police Department is investigating a shooting.
It happened just before 11 p.m. on Saturday, March 23, in the 1600 block of South Michigan.
Officers were dispatched to the area after receiving citizen reports of shots fired.
As police were responding, they learned the victim was in the 1000 block of South Michigan. The victim, a 32-year-old man, had a non-life-threatening graze wound.
Thee victim was driving southbound on South Michigan when he encountered a group of people in the street. Multiple people then opened fire on the his vehicle. A nearby home was also struck by gunfire, according to a news release from South Bend Police.
