Tippecanoe Valley accepts donations for school bus safety

Tippecanoe Valley School Board approved two donations during its meeting Monday that will help increase safety measures for buses.

A $500 donation from Tucker Golden Beef LLC and a $1,450 from The Tom Wilson Memorial Fund, through the Northern Indiana Community Foundation, will be used for supporting funding for bus stop arm cameras.

Superintendent Blaine Conley said, “TVSC is grateful for the outpouring of community support and for our business partners. We are committed to student safety and our Transportation Safety Review Committee co-chaired by Sheriff Chris Sailors of Fulton County and Sheriff Kyle Dukes of Kosciusko County continues its important work.”

An additional donation will provide each TVSC student with a flashing safety light that attaches to a backpack. The donation was extended by the Woodlawn Hospital and Woodlawn Medical Professionals.
